MAFS AU's Lucinda Light shares ‘raw’ insecurities after she's caught off guard in glam video

“I didn’t know the make-up artist was going to post this video of me really raw and unfiltered…"

Married At First Sight AU’s Lucinda Lught has bravely opened up about her long-time concerns about her “raw and unfiltered” appearance and it’s something that may hit home for many of us.

Posting to Instagram, we saw the beautiful and confident Lucinda break down her walls, writing: “This is a vulnerable share, it’s about my skin which I’ve always been really conscious of.”

Lucinda was caught off guard when her makeup artist posted her getting glam on TikTok without her knowing.

“I didn’t know the make-up artist was going to post this TikTok video of me really raw and unfiltered in an unflattering light as I was getting ready,” she said.

Had she seen the footage prior to it being uploaded, Lucinda said she “would of made her delete them 😂.”

“I WAS HORRIFIED WHEN I FIRST SAW THIS VIDEO BUT IT’S OUT NOW AND IT’S TIME TO ACKNOWLEDGE AND TAKE ACTION AND HAVE SOME COMPASSION FOR MYSELF.”

“This year as a gift to myself, I’d like to finally fix my face and get to the bottom of my scarring/rosacea,” she added.

“Most days I wear a bit of make-up to cover it up.”

Revealing moments of self-consciousness and the lengths she went to in order to hide her skin, Lucinda admitted in her 20s she’d only let her boyfriend walk on one side of her.

Now, she wants to “preserve [her] face without using injectables or botox.” because - as we know - she’s a woman of confidence and authenticity.

“I WANT TO REPRESENT THE WILD NATURAL WOMAN THAT’S RADIANT AND CONFIDENT, FROM ANY ANGLE.”

“One day when I meet my life partner, I’ll be all glowy and dewy and okay with my face ✨💕,” she finished.

Shout out to Lu for reflecting both vulnerability and beauty all in one. Everyone is on their own self-love journey and these raw moments are realtable for many of us.
