From a 'shag on the rocks' to slipping on ice: Watch Over 30 Years Of TV3 News' Best Bloopers

Trust Hilary Barry to tell us how she REALLY feels!

Everyone loves a news blooper, and over the last 34 years, the news on TV3 has given us plenty of hilarious moments to giggle at.

With the closure of Newshub this week, YouTuber Dan News TV has shared some of the best and goofiest blunders live on the telly.

From a "shag on the rocks" to a reporter falling on her bum, here are 5 of our favourite bloopers from the hilarious compilation.

Hilary Barry's selfie slip-up

"The rise of the selfie on shallow... er, on social media," Hilary blurted out. Tell us how you really feel Hilz!

Catching herself out and having a bit of a chuckle, Hilary admitted to her Freudian slip.

Occupational hazard

It's pretty hard to beat the best blooper when this reporter cautions Christchurch of their slippery roads, only to put proof in the pudding as her feet slip out from under her.

That is what you call unfortunate timing.

Mike McRoberts and John Campbell hiding their bromance

During The Big Night Telethon in 2009, Mike made it very clear he was drawing a line in the sand.

“No matter how much [John Campbell] pays me that [pash] isn’t going to happen,” Mike said.

“He wants me, McRoberts wants me,” John stared down the barrel of the camera adamant their bromance was strong.

“The sexual tension is appalling.”

"Emergency defecation situation"

It's hard not to burst into a fit of laughter while watching Hilary Barry, Paul Henry and Jim Kayes lose all composure from a clip mentioning an "emergency defecation situation".

It all became a bit too much for Hilz as she reckoned she was "having one" herself.

Having a "shag on the rocks"

"Kayakers, swimmers, we've even had a shag on the rocks" was not what you'd expect to hear during your early morning news.

Thankfully, it was quickly confirmed to be a shag of the bird kind in this hilarious blooper.

Oh, how we will miss these candid moments to make us burst into laughter.

We wish everyone finishing up at TV3 this week all the best! Thank you for keeping New Zealand informed and entertained for over three decades.
