The BEST toasties in NZ have been named - from spicy meatball melts to chicken rippers

A road trip is going to need to be had!

Toasties are a Kiwi classic, and it’s obvious to see why! They’re simple, effective, and you really can’t get a hot sammie wrong.

But let’s be real, some toasties reach that extra level with their unique, loaded fillings.

The Great Toastie Takeover is happening right now, and food spots across the country are stepping up their game. From the classic Reuben to the epic ‘Surf, Turf and Earth,’ there are some seriously mouth-watering sammies in the mix.

McClure's Pickles have announced their top contenders - so it's no coincidence EVERY toastie includes their pickles somewhere in the ingredients - with the Supreme Winner announced later this month.
